NAVIGATING STORMY SEAS:  Insights from Jung for Turbulent Times

A weekend retreat featuring a keynote LIVE video session

with James Hollis, PhD

October 3 - 4, 2025 | YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park, CO

2025 feels like a turning point in history. Nearly every aspect of life – politics, economics, education, healthcare, religion, science, entertainment, psychology – is highly polarized. Anxiety is no longer just a personal struggle—it’s a national epidemic, with 70% of us experiencing anxiety over current events and over 19% of us living with an anxiety disorder. Many people sense that things cannot continue this way, but fear that things will get worse before they get better.

Where do we look for insight and guidance?  The Swiss psychologist Carl Jung was well acquainted with turbulent times. He witnessed two horrific world wars and the evil that can come from collective psychosis. His teachings have never been more relevant.

Boulder Friends of Jung will be hosting a highly interactive weekend retreat, during which we will apply the insights of Jung to modern American society. Guided by James Hollis, we will work on adjusting our strategies and finding our way.
